There was an article released yesterday that has a lot of artists in a panic. You can read the article here:

I will summarize it for you to save you some effort.  Fine Art America is warning artists that all other Print On Demand (POD) sites are moving to a percentage business model.  By in large, the new payment to artists will be a mere 5%. That definitely sucks.  Fine Art America claims to be the only POD site that still allows a “set your own price” model.  Some sites like Society 6 do allow us to put in our desired profit for some of their products.  Others are set for us. The same is true for Redbubble.  I agree that it is not ideal, but I find benefit to those two sites nonetheless.

I like Fine Art America and am currently making an amazing income with them. I am…

Dawn At Pacific Beach In San Diego

Dawn colors the soft turquoise waves flowing up onto Pacific Beach in San Diego, California, and lights up the edge of Crystal Pier.

We spent the end of 2013 traveling down the scenic California coast, eventually ending our journey south in San Diego. I hadn’t been there since childhood, and we spent a lot of time simply orienting ourselves and visiting popular tourist destinations (including several trips to the beautiful and amazing Balboa Park). We ended up staying at a somewhat iffy hotel just steps from Pacific Beach. What the hotel lacked in quality, it certainly made up for in location. While the drunken partying of our neighbors kept us up long into the night, we were able to peek outside at the beach bright and early each morning, judging when to grab our gear and head down onto the sand.

The weather was cool and Pacific Beach was mostly…

Throw back Thursday. Took this pick a few weeks ago at my mother’s house (if you haven’t figured it out yet she has a lot of flowers and plants).

Trying out a new editing app, Snapsee, on my phone and I like it very much. Much easier to use that photoshop.

Good night everyone!

You Are Welcome

You Are Welcome

You’re welcome Nebraska! These super thunderstorm cells come flying over the Colorado Rocky Mountains and head out east to the plains.  A normal spring summer day on the Rocky Mountains foothills is waking up to clear blue skies over the mountains.  By 1:00 pm the clouds start rolling in and building over the foothills sometimes by 3:00 to 4:00 it rains and clears by sunset and the best is when it kicks up at sunset and last till about 11:00pm.  Those are the storms best to photograph.

This is a seven image very large panorama of a supercell heading over Denver and out NE to the plains of Nebraska.
