WHAT IS IT WITH T-R-I-P-L-E-T-S ?
Glorious Triptychs!

We all have them – don’t we? those photos that meet the criteria of a technically good image but lack the punch to stand alone? I don’t know about you, but I can’t throw these out and find triptychs a solution to my image hoarding. Many of the images within my triptychs were taken at different locations, on different days & sometimes in different countries but guided by design, color, movement, pattern and graphic elements, the end result is usually interesting.

Its always a delight to find a painter that has his own voice. His own style. His own life to communicate. Guilhem Delon is a French painter I met through facebook in 2013. We exchanged our views and mutual respect for each other as artists. I find Guilhem’s paintings capture the most fleeting of moments. He quietly translates and shares with us the everyday simplicities, places and events, found throughout his colorful world in France and Italy. Great advice!
As an abstract, acrylic painter, I am always amazed at other people’s perception of artists. They are either fearful of saying the wrong thing or feel they don’t know enough about art to stop and have a conversation with an artist. I am sure that some people think we are from another planet, and as such, are just too hard to understand so why bother! There are others that put us on a pedestal and think we are just too (fill in the blank). And then, there are those, that feel that if they stop and talk to an artist about their work, they will have to find an excuse not to buy their work.
