What a fantastic time of year in Colorado, now the lower elevation is starting to change after an incredible show in the high country.

We were shooting a senior portrait session on this location with a cool truck and this background.  Fun session lots of great autumn colors to use for the portrait session.  As I packed up to leave the sky started to light up and this view caught my eye.  So I shot a time lapse and a couple nice stills to go with it.  Please check out the time lapse that goes with this in my last post.

This is the time of year that’s a photographers dream.  Every where you look you see colorful beauty.  In Colorado you can chase the autumn colors for a long time starting with the high elevation and then ending with the lower elevations.  So… we are still chasing autumn… today we are in the old town parts of Longmont Colorado, Boulder County, as I was combing the streets for something cool this caught my eye.  Hope you like.

Svadisthana

Manipura Abstract Chakra Art

“Manipura or manipuraka is symbolised by a downward pointing triangle with ten petals, along with the color yellow. The seed syllable is Ram, and the presiding deity is Braddha Rudra, with Lakini as the Shakti.

Manipura is related to the metabolic and digestive systems. Manipura is believed to correspond to Islets of Langerhans,^[40] which are groups of cells in the pancreas, as well as the outer adrenal glands and the adrenal cortex. These play a valuable role in digestion, the conversion of food matter into energy for the body. The colour that corresponds to Manipura is yellow. Key issues governed by Manipura are issues of personal power, fear, anxiety, opinion-formation, introversion, and transition from simple or base emotions to complex. While combing through my massive photo inventory, I came across this lovely fella.  He was a stray that wondered up to our home and wouldn’t leave.  Unfortunately, we could not keep him because all of our dogs like to chase cats and years ago, one of my dogs caught one. 😦  So we found him a loving home with a friend that dubbed him “Flaco Taco”.  Meow!

Muladhara or Root Chakra

“Muladhara or root chakra is symbolised by a lotus with four petals and the color red. This center is located at the base of the spine in the coccygeal region. It is said to relate to the gonads and the adrenal medulla, responsible for the fight-or-flight response when survival is under threat.
