Hearts Abstract Macro Glass Photograph by Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.comI found this picture a minute ago and thought it would be a fun Throwback Thursday post. This image is the FIRST Fine Art picture I ever sold to anyone. It was part of a series I created for the Twisp River Suites to hang in their Guest Suites when the hotel was brand new back in 2012. I had been taking photographs of Garth Mudge’s handblown glass art over the Thanksgiving holiday break in my home studio and I posted it on Facebook. Immediately I was invited to install a large collection of this series of work in 3 different businesses locally.
I printed 14 pictures to hang and on my way to the hotel I stopped by Glassworks in Winthrop to show Garth and Barry. They immediately offered to purchase the print to hang in their home. So almost by accident I sold my first picture and I…

Swans Enjoying Lunch in the Spring Sun Photo by Omaste Witkowski — National Geographic Your Shot

Swans swimming in the sun and enjoying lunch along the way. #swans #bird #spring

Marketing Art Online

My camera has been a constant companion this year so far on my Boise River Greenbelt walks and last week I captured this photo of a swan swimming gracefully in a pond close to the Boise River in Idaho. I really love swans and the reflections in the water that seem to gracefully follow them in a loving dance of water and shadows.

This pretty pair of swans that like to have lunch around the same time as I go for walks.
This photograph is a bit different from my usual work because I am submitting it to National Geographic’s Your Shot which requires completely unedited photos. Normally I put my pictures through a fairly extreme process to alter them and reflect my graphic design visions. This image is completely RAW and straight from my camera, and ts funny but it almost looks naked to me

Happy New Year 2016!

Happy New Year 2016!

Abstract Art by Omaste Witkowski

New Blue Motivational Artwork by Omashte

A new year and some new colors of blue. I was reading this morning about the Pantone color(s) of the year for 2016 and they are Rose Quartz and Serenity. Sounds pretty good to me 🙂 They are both colors that I love and I was inspired to create some new artwork and pay with the various shades and textures that appeal to me most.

This piece of motivational artwork will be the 1st in a new series I will be working on and I am really excited to explore some ideas that have been making their way through my imagination lately. I am combining some tools I used last year with a few new ideas. Stay tuned for more as I fill in the rest of the picture 🙂

What will you visualize for yourself today?

Thinking Big Abstract Inspirational Art by Omashte

“Look at things not as they are, but as they will be. Visualization adds value to everything. A big thinker always visualizes what can be done in the future.” ~David Schwartz

I am finding this to be true in my own life. Every action I take has been a visualized thought brought into reality. What I think about it in a day is what I make happen in a day. Sure there are random events and things out of my control and I do factor those in, but for the most part my day will unfold as exactly as I want it to. The more I slow down my thought processes and identify the unconscious urges, the clearer it all becomes. I am feeling depths of calm and wisdom I didn’t know existed. Disagreements are just opportunities for me to choose what I want to believe and then exist within…

Calm Beauty Abstract Inspirational Art by Omashte

I believe this statement from the bottom of my heart. Remaining calm is a gift. Even the most challenging situation can be helped by remaining calm. The ability to think slowly and clearly is the benefit for me. I have the ability to ask myself questions before I respond to difficult circumstances. Many times I am able to find positive outcomes by answering my own questions. This would not be possible for me if I was not able to remain calm.

Specialized Suggestions Abstract Art by Omashte“Specialized Suggestions”

I designed this piece and then when I really looked at it I understood that it was suggesting some interesting ideas to me. The idea of letting go and just being free. Throwing off the containing energies and dancing with the soul. I see movement and freedom and color and light. My imagination takes me on a wild ride as I contemplate the magic of the moment….

Conscious Cooperations Abstract Art by Omashte

“Conscious Cooperations”

Around and around and around I go. From one thing to the next and then back again. My artwork today is taking me on a roller coaster ride of sensations and feelings. I have written a rather mysterious tale here waiting to be read. An abstract journey into the past present and future.

For me I hear the sound of passion sitting quietly and waiting for the opportunity to feel itself. I know that pain of remembering what I have lost. I see the opportunities for abundant growth and I remember how far I have come. I do understand that this is just life and an illusion living itself……

What do you hear in this work, what do you know, what do you see and what does that make you remember and then understand and do? Can you look deeply into this image and answer those questions?

MultiDimensional Directions Abstract Art by Omashte“Multidimensional Directions”

How many directions can I travel in at any one time? In this new series of work I am pondering, I am playing with multiple background designs in every pattern. This has led me to my initial question 🙂 I am really enjoying the synchronicity I can find with using more than one idea at a time. It reminds me of life where I am pulled in many directions and have to make sense of them all…

Where have you always wanted to travel?  I think the next on my list will be Canada.  We just got back from a mini-vacation to Venice…..Florida that is.  And while we didn’t go far, it sure was lovely to get away from work and home responsibilities for awhile.  Just the sand, surf and a tropical drink in my hand….ahhhh  But back to work!

Where do you want to go?
