Find Joy In Every Corner Of Life And Be Joyous Today

Find Joy In Every Corner Of Life And Be Joyous Today

owfotografik's avatarAbstract Art by Omaste Witkowski

Joyous Abstract Inspirational Artwork by Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.comI have been experimenting with a new style of art today. I am drawing words that I find inspirational and enjoy looking at. Then I am mixing them with my Artwork.
The process is similar to the other work that I was doing. I start with a Design I have created and then I layer the word that I have sketched. I remove the letters to show the design underneath.
Today’s image is Joy and I hope that it brings a little Joy to your day 🙂

LAYER 4 & Des & Ill & 2 color semi transparent

We are now onto Layers 3 & 4 & Sky Blue. In layer 3 I used the blue as a very thin layer on top of the original design. You can see the tissue paper effect on the pattern. It brings a kiss of blue to the original colors. In layer 4 I used the blue as a solid color. You can see the vibrant hearts singing to the skies and into the earth. Yearning to spread joy in every direction.

Blue is by far my favorite color and I enjoy using it in my work and seeing it in my life

Blue hour dawn long exposure art photo SLIP SLIDIN’

Jo Ann Tomaselli ~ Fine Art Photography

A sliver of a moon appears in the blue-hour dawn as sunrise breaks the horizon.

A long exposure paints the sky deep blue and the water silken.

Mother Nature beautifully illuminates the Carolina Coast – yet again.  Amen!

Red Nautilus Shell Art

Mixed Media

Yesterday someone asked me if I could present my Nautilus Shell landscape rather than portrait.  It required me to move my signature so that it would be in the right place for hanging.  It’s funny because I have been looking at this shell for years in a vertical position.  She is delighted and made a purchase right away.  But it still looks odd to me. My brain wants to move it back to it’s original position.  They say “change” is good, so I will just adjust to this new perspective…

Lightning Striking Longs Peak Foothills 4

Lightning bolts, cloud to ground striking the front range foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains in north Boulder County.  A view of the Twin Peaks, Mount Meeker 13,911 ft. and Longs Peak 14,256 ft. in the distance.

This storm came in fast about 8:30 pm, one thing I have learned about Colorado Lightning storms in the springtime… they come in fast, leave the same way and do not last long.  For me as soon as I saw some flashed in the sky, out the door and landed where I could to get a composition view of Longs Peak. As I was set up shooting a farmer showed up to deliver 8 boxes of live bees, he told me hopefully it will all go well. Lucky for me it did.

The Lightning was all over in less than twenty minutes.  It moved north but died out.  Looking forward to the…

LAYER3

Today’s layer is #3. At this point I have my background design and my black and white illustration. I have the design as the bottom layer, then the b&w picture and now I start removing spaces to show the design underneath. I use the “magic wand” tool in Photoshop to select the areas of white that I want to remove. This leaves the black as a border and whatever is beneath what I have removed will show through. There is no real rhyme or reason as to how I craft the image at this point. I am “feeling” what the image wants to be. I believe that every picture tells a story and I am listening to the universe and trying to be true to the untold story emerging 🙂

Everyone who knows me is well aware of how quickly I process. I think fast. I drive fast. And I paint even faster. When I work with acrylics, my work goes in a furious fashion. It’s all over in a matter of minutes usually. There are the huge beasts that require many hours, but the majority of my work is a race to the finish line. It’s just how I roll.

People have the mistaken idea that digital work is easy. It’s true that running something through a filter does not take much effort. But this little cutie took me over 5 hours to create. It is collage work and bit by tiny bit I form the image using one of my original paintings. Cutting and pasting….cutting and pasting….trimming….adding….tweaking…..It’s maddening in a way. Kind of like O.C.D. (which I have been clinically diagnosed with)…

Here Comes The Sun

Stained Glass Digital Designs

A new day and a new opportunity to see sunshine and light in the world. I am realizing lately that I don’t see as much brightness as actually exists. I think that the pattern I made this morning is reminding me that it was there 🙂
My latest art series that I am working on is a multi layered image combining my designs, illustrations and colored paint layers.
I would like to share layer #1 from the current piece I am working on. I am naming it “Here Comes The Sun”
Stay tuned for the illustration layer that I will use as a template for cutting Colored Paint layers from…..

“The normal limits of the human vision are not the limits of the universe.
There are other worlds than that which our senses reveal to us.”

Sri Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan

Do you know the meaning of the word Abracadabra?
You know, that spellbinding word magicians utter when pulling a rabbit out of a hat?
It meansit is created as it is spoken.
Now wouldn’t it be cool if, as our Indian philosopher suggests,
we all possess the capacity
of infinite insight into our limitless universe?
And the only prerequisite is we remember this is so?
Today I’m dispatching a little Abracadabra your way.
Please feel free to use it indiscriminately
while out exploring the Universe.

Branches of Light Abstract Macro Glass Photography-by Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.com

Branches of Light

I see a branch of light extending to all of the darkness in the world. Bright enough to gain the attention of all the souls in the world. A brilliant and welcoming invitation to another way of thinking and a chance to rest for a minute and enjoy the colors……

This picture was part of a commissioned series created for a local Hotel.

—–

This picture started out as a picture of handblown glass created by Garth Mudge of Glassworks. Glassworks is located downtown Winthrop Wa (Washington State), in the beautiful Methow Valley. The Methow is a small jewel of an area not too far from Seattle in the Pacific Northwest. Okanogan County is such a great place to live for all of the sunshine and outdoors recreation.
It was taken with a Macro lens and is a very small section of the overall object. I am…
