Facing The Unknown
What is known in life can feel comfortable and yet the unknown is where I feel that true vision lies. I am struggling with the idea of starting over in the middle of my life. What will it be like to begin again a life I have never known?
My artwork today is exploring the idea of the unknown and making it beautiful. There is a certain amount of mystery and suspense woven into the deep blue of background consciousness. Life is represented in glowing shades of flesh and spirit. Look carefully to see the hidden places with the knowledge contained within. Undecided Bliss Abstract Healing Artwork
In this digital artwork, I created Dark and Light vying for prominence. This is how I am feeling lately. A yearning for happiness and an awareness of deep sadness at the same time. Optimism and hope surrounding a vivid pool of understanding and painful experience. I cannot escape being human and contained there is the depth of our limitations here on Earth. No one proceeds unscathed and in the process we are brought through into other levels of transformation. It is all beautiful in its own way when the level of knowledge is reached that allows it to be so. I will come through this and know more than I do now….

Budweiser Power – Massive Lightning Thunderstorm all over the Anheuser-Busch Budweiser Brewery. This was one crazy amazing storm. I chased this very erratic lightning thunderstorm all the way to Wyoming. It was sooooo crazy at one point I would hit my shutter button then jump in the back of the SUV to get my feet off the wet ground. This is one of mnay images in this series. This is two images layered to keep the noise low, equal to a 30 sec exposure, f11, 75mm, ISO 100, WB tungsen. Look for more in the gallery. Lightning fact: Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) endeavored to test the theory that sparks shared some similarity with lightning by using a spire which was being erected in Philadelphia. While waiting for completion of the spire, he got the idea to use a flying object such as a kite.

Flowering Abstract Colors
It is almost March now and I am ready for spring. We live in the mountains in North Central Washington State and the ground is covered with many feet of snow right now. After many long months of Winter I am really ready for Spring to come around. I will enjoy the sunny faces of so many wonderful flowers and vibrant colors. For now I will content myself to create some flowering abstracts 🙂 This one today is cheering me up with its brilliant shades of sunny warmth and cool blue wisdom.

Awareness Intensified Abstract Circular Healing Artwork
I love circles and I love colorful images. This particular piece is intriguing to me. The methods I use to create artwork are varied and in this particular one it was evolving as I went. I didn’t know what the final version would look like. To me it resembles an eye. A deep vivid insight into consciousness itself. I imagine life as the orange and red tones. We exist around and on top of what it is we come from. Or maybe our existence is an illusion and it all just is. I don’t know for certain the answer but I do feel a certain awareness that goes beyond my physical form. This awareness drives my creative spirit and allows me to express my feelings in color and shape.

Circles Making Love and Abstract Patterns
I love circles. They are one of my favorite shapes and in this artwork I have drawn many of them. I am really enjoying the “full of life” colors here and the many subtle layers of vivid experience. I see color as representing events and feelings. My world is lived in a language of colorful thoughts and emotions and I attempt to express this with my artwork. In this particular piece I am seeing red circles merging into each other to create a new life. The explosion of it all is expressed outside of this connection and births more shades of new living. In between all of it is the beauty that expresses what I cannot with words. An encounter with all of what I am and not just what I see.
