Running Around in Circles

I was having a rough day and in the process created this piece of art that seemed to represent my state of mind at the time. All sorts of confusion and chaos. Thoughts running here and there while they screamed for attention. Bright flashes of light with darkness chasing close behind. In my abstract wanderings the boundaries and calm filters helped to soothe me just a bit and allow for the rough spots to be contained. A little bit melted slowly away to hide for another day as I dealt with what I could. Intensity is in the moment and time will soothe anything. The trick is to allow a moment to be and not carry it with you for a lifetime. Not everything needs to be permanent and some things are better off left behind. Allow for confusion, cultivate courage and peace will follow. Have a…

Stars Coming Out At Night

I am a dreamer by nature. I love to consider the possibilities at all times. Lose myself in a million colorful stories and drift off on the fertile winds of my imagination. Remaining grounded is often my biggest challenge as my mind takes me on incredible adventures. How many of my dreams become realities and/or do I even want them to? Is it more satisfying in the end to live in my make believe worlds or is it infinitely better to take the steps needed to connect with a solid plan. I had a funny thought the other day. Are dreams without plans in effect fantasies? And are fantasies a “bad” thing? Where is the line that I cross when something so pleasurable becomes painful and I can’t even see it? These are the questions I ask myself when I have time to relax and…

Innocence Reborn As Abstract Healing Art Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.comBuy PrintsblogDarkShort

Innocence Reborn

I have come to many conclusions lately and one of my most powerful revelations has been the idea that I will go back to the place that I started my journey here, and live it from a perspective of how I choose and not what was thrust upon me. I have the power to make my own choices and determine the course of the rest of my life. Blessings have been mine as I realize that not every human being has this ability in their life. I am going to seize the moment and discover the fullness of life now. No longer letting others plot my courses is going to be the best thing for me. Where I will go is all about taking charge and loving the process. Too many years were spent feeling as though I would be grateful for the kindness of others and content…

A Warrior Spirit Abstract Healing Art

Healing is an interesting concept to me because it involves both our physical and emotional bodies. Pain and suffering can cause deep pain and wounding and when this is the case then a process of regrowth is necessary to get back to where we were prior to our loss. I am working through my own life and experiences and realizing that my inner self is much more difficult to heal than my physical self. The scars are deep and yet not visible on the surface in a way that is apparent to the causal observer. Hidden things are always more difficult to find and I believe that this is why they tend to stay in the dark. Fortunately for me my inner warrior is fighting to save me and heal me at the same time. I have found a way out of the dark…

Golden Surprises In the Methow River

Do you ever look into the water and imagine what you might see in there. I love to look deeply and let my imagination run wild. In this image I see a golden turtle noticing that it is being watched. Surprise and dismay cloak this creatures face as it realizes the transparency of its situation. What will I do now that I am aware of this beautiful fantasy. Enjoy it of course. Leave it in peace and wonder where it will travel to next 🙂

Heaven Conquers Hell an Abstract Adventure

Boring wall syndrome is a very real affliction and the prudent decorator will take pains to avoid this unpleasant condition. My painting above will be the perfect medicine as it brings an adventure into your home. Come away with me to an exciting land that is available for interpretation. Boring is not a term that exists here and if you want to rediscover light into a dark place then order a print today and see for yourself the joy that it comes packaged with.

As I was painting this picture I was taken away myself. The colors here are intoxicating to my senses and I really got carried away to another place. I see light and joy conquering pain and hurt expressed in red tones. So this painting is an adventure and such a victory at the same time. A story that has a…

Heaven and Earth an Abstract Painting

I often wonder what heaven will look like and in my mind I am picturing this place. Elements of it are familiar and yet is is completely unknown and impossible. The colors are vibrations that are alive and shapes are not quite shapes. They consist of mist and magic. what is here and how it is interpreted are all up to the beholder. I look deeply in here and I find myself lost in beauty and imagination. What do you see when you contemplate in this abstract mixture of elements?

Rocky Mountain Autumn Storm

This is the very first image shot and out of my camera from my Autumn 2013 trip that started with a scary early morning drive over the pass and through the tunnel on I-70 and then south to Leadville.  The snow was beautiful with the colors but the driving in it was not so fun.  Anything can happen this time of year in the Rockies.
