I still have some images that I scanned from my old portfolio to share.  This is a pretty emotional piece for me.  What are they saying?  Or are they speaking without any words at all?

My “Never Alone” painting has always been one of my most popular pieces. It’s true that blue is a soothing color and many people like it, but I believe that it is the sentiment that draws people in.  As I sell a lot of this image around the Holidays, it makes me pause and say a prayer of gratitude for the life I now have.  I also ask for comfort to those who will not be having a “happy” Holiday season.

I know what it is like to have Christmas marred by pain and suffering.  When I was 10 years old, my father killed himself just a few short days before the magical event.  I can still see the carefully wrapped gifts under the tree as we gathered after the funeral.  I remember thinking that I didn’t want anything ever again for…

Penguins Abstract Macro Glass Photography by Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.com

Penguins

This photograph reminds me of a penguin. Sitting quietly in the Arctic and wondering what all of the color is about. Black and White is one thing but a bright blue penguin is a new idea.

In these bold colors I can almost taste a story waiting to be told. I see a wheat colored yellow and a calming blue, a royal purple, a nectarine orange, a limey green kiss, a sensual red and spiritual purple/pink haze. This picture is a colony of penguins all with a different meaning and aura. A bulb of yellow could represent a baby penguin waiting for its stunningly blue mother. The purple overlay is the emotional blood holding the penguins together. The orange outer layer is the health of the penguins. The green and pinkish/purple is the love held inside.

This is a photograph of a piece of glass artwork created by Garth…

Hearts Abstract Macro Glass Photograph by Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.comHearts

This photograph reminds me of a heart. The spidery lines remind me of veins. Also I am in love with the photograph. The glowing red center and overall mini mystery of a creative process. This image started me on my artistic journey that has brought me here. It was the first picture I ever sold anyone. I was exploring the idea of using my glass ornaments as models for Macro photographs. A friend of mine saw some of my pictures and told her friend, who owned a hotel, about them. I was promptly asked to produce art for the Suites in the hotel and a passion was born. I was so excited to share all of the color and beauty I was finding and get paid at the same time. What a thrill! So I created a series of around 25 unique photographs and put some of them in…

LIVE OAK ARCHWAY LIVE OAK ARCHWAY

“Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us, or we find it not” Emerson

We all carry beauty within us.  The question is: How will we share it with the world?

If you’d been with me here, in this magical kingdom of softly drifting fog, mist and sun and if you were listening carefully, you would have heard me whisper a profound “thank-you”.  Thank you to the acorn & the earth, the sun & the rain and thank you to the one person who conceptualized this amazingly beautiful southern landscape.

It took only one person to envision hundreds of deciduous live oak trees growing to form an archway of abundantly intertwined, sphagnum-moss draped branches.  One person with one thought – create a beautiful country road.  One person to respond to an urge to manifest exquisiteness – not for themselves…
