It is located near Point Reyes National Seashore, and is a popular photographic subject. I was curious to learn the history behind this boat, but Internet searches uncovered surprisingly little information about it…

Luckily for you, I work at a local history museum in Marin County and ran into an Inverness historian who was doing some research in our archives. I asked him about the boat and this is what he told me:

Okay you cannot exactly shower with me, but you CAN have a piece of me in your shower. 🙂  I am now offering some of my artwork on shower curtains.  My entire collection will not be offered, but I have some ranging from fun and whimsical to beautiful patterns that I am creating by re-purposing original art into new pieces.  These are so much FUN!
