This will be my last Stone Rock’d fish for a long while!  Aren’t you glad?  It’s been awfully fishy around this blog and I’ve got a hankering to get my hands wet again in some acrylic paint.  This project has been fun and time consuming, but I’ve got some killer fish for my clients and for the rest of the World to enjoy too. 🙂

Another beautiful day in Florida and I was out early with my camera.  We have the most beautiful aloe plants growing all around our property and the humming birds love them.  I am not sophisticated enough as a photographer yet to start capturing those speedy little birds, but I did get some nice shots of the aloe flower spikes.  They are so delicate.  I use the aloe leaves for skin irritations and they are quite healing.  I wonder if the flowers are useful?  Here are some ways that the leaves benefit us humans:

1.  Aloe Vera Is High in Vitamins & Minerals:

Aloe Vera contains many vitamins including A, C, E, folic acid, choline, B1, B2, B3 (niacin), B6. Aloe Vera is also one of the few plants that contains vitamin B12.

Some of the 20 minerals found in Aloe Vera include: calcium, magnesium, zinc, chromium, selenium, sodium, iron, potassium…

Diamond in the Rough

I am having a fiery vision of creation here in this abstract digital artwork. I see the cool blue of the center as new birth of life into a volcanic space. Red is an intense color to work with and for me it is so very passionate. Passion and rest are at play in my imagination as they introduce a new idea to some existing shades of reality. On January 30th, 2014, a woman walked into my photography studio carrying a tote bag full of oxygen tanks and jewelry. She smiled at me from under the hose that disappeared into her nostrils and I fell for her instantly.

A few months prior to the day Julie VonderHaar came to my studio for a portrait, I was invited to be part of a group photography show at a gallery called SOHA in South St. Louis, MO.  I was informed that the theme of the exhibit was simply AIR. Each photographer (8 total) was to interpret the theme however they liked and create something for the show. As a businessperson, exhibiting in shows like this is rarely lucrative, but the artist in me couldn’t resist the opportunity to stretch a bit beyond my work portfolio of baby portraits, corporate head shots, and wedding documentation.

Last one from my trip to Arizona.  Landscape scenic view of giant saguaro cactus and a beautiful colorful sunset sky on the Arizona Sonoran desert.  I can never get enough of these desert giants.

This Spinning folly Turning in my brain,
