Spring has sprung in Florida!  The weather is absolutely perfect.  The azaleas are blooming in glorious hot pink beauty.  The grass is greening up.  Bees are buzzing.  My orchids are budding. And then there is the pollen.  Aaaaaachooo!!  Yup, I get allergies bad this time of the year and that sticky yellow stuff gets in my nose, eyes and lungs and I spend my time indoors or masked. If I venture outside I wear a hat (so it doesn’t get in my hair), a mask and glasses.  I shower before bed and keep my sheets as clean as possible.  It only lasts about a month or so like this, but it is a wait.  What to do?  Create of course!  I love the LOOK of Spring and decided to keep it positive with this fun and whimsical piece today.

I am one of those people who gets focused on one thing and I cannot let go.  “A dog with a bone” as one of my friends likes to say. Even though I am preoccupied with Society 6 at the moment, my work is still going places. Namely to Michigan, New York and Massachusetts. 🙂  I have been to two of these states so far and plan to pick up New York on my way to Canada soon.

Budweiser Power – Massive Lightning Thunderstorm all over the Anheuser-Busch Budweiser Brewery.  This was one crazy amazing storm.  I chased this very erratic lightning thunderstorm all the way to Wyoming.  It was sooooo crazy at one point I would hit my shutter button then jump in the back of the SUV to get my feet off the wet ground.  This is one of mnay images in this series. Lightning fact:  Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) endeavored to test the theory that sparks shared some similarity with lightning by using a spire which was being erected in Philadelphia. While waiting for completion of the spire, he got the idea to use a flying object such as a kite.

Flowering Abstract Colors

It is almost March now and I am ready for spring. We live in the mountains in North Central Washington State and the ground is covered with many feet of snow right now. After many long months of Winter I am really ready for Spring to come around. I will enjoy the sunny faces of so many wonderful flowers and vibrant colors. For now I will content myself to create some flowering abstracts 🙂 This one today is cheering me up with its brilliant shades of sunny warmth and cool blue wisdom.

These photos were taken the day after our lovely big snow 2 weeks back.  The ground is clear of snow now, but the temperatures are low and the threat of snow is in the forecast.

More importantly, California is getting rain!!  Come on Mother Nature, ease that drought!

Thank you all for your visits and comments.  I’m a bit backed up in visiting everyone’s blogs … but each day I visit a few and I am confident that soon, yes SOON, life will calm a bit, and I’ll get back on track!

A few people have said that my new series “Transforming Energy” is hypnotizing.  I’ve never been hypnotized and am uncertain if it would even be possible.  I am pretty strong willed.  Also I am not very open to suggestion nor does the placebo effect work on me.  I do not believe everything I hear/see and I do not trust doctors very much.  Not that hypnotists are doctors, but to my mind they are close enough in principle.  Additionally as a survivor or childhood abuse I know I would not be comfortable with this practice even if it could work on me.  How could you trust anyone with your psyche like that?  I’d have to have my husband or sister with me and wouldn’t they get hypnotized too?  At any rate, I do find it fascinating.

Ever since the movie the Omen came out the Rottweiler dog breed has gotten a bad rap.  To many people a general sense of anxiety accompanies the introduction to one of these beautiful canines.  Truth is that they were originally bred and used to herd livestock and pull carts.  I’ve watched in utter delight as one of our neighbor’s rotties herds children in their back yard as the kiddos squeal with glee.  Mr. Wiggle pants is no menace, however, he does bark when strangers come around.  This is normal dog behavior and you can expect this from any breed.  What a lot of people fail to realize is that these animals are not specifically more aggressive than some other breeds unless they are trained to be so.  You might be surprised to find Dalmatians in the top 10 of most dangerous dog breeds.
