Manipura Abstract Chakra Art

Manipura or manipuraka is symbolised by a downward pointing triangle with ten petals, along with the color yellow. The seed syllable is Ram, and the presiding deity is Braddha Rudra, with Lakini as the Shakti.

Manipura is related to the metabolic and digestive systems. Manipura is believed to correspond to Islets of Langerhans,[40] which are groups of cells in the pancreas, as well as the outer adrenal glands and the adrenal cortex. These play a valuable role in digestion, the conversion of food matter into energy for the body. The colour that corresponds to Manipura is yellow. Key issues governed by Manipura are issues of personal power, fear, anxiety, opinion-formation, introversion, and transition from simple or base emotions to complex. Physically, Manipura governs digestion, mentally it governs personal power, emotionally it governs expansiveness, and spiritually, all matters of growth.[41]

I am in love with Nature itself. Fascinated by the shapes and colors that God has created. I do believe in creation and I do believe in science. I believe that God created science and everything else. Here is the tricky part though. I don’t think that God exists as One Specific creature or being. I believe that we are all god, and that each of us is a part of what created us. A child to a parent and then a parent back to a child. And on and on. So be kind to others and appreciate all that we are collectively, and all that we have the potential to become. No one is completely removed from the rest of the world. We are creating our reality as we live and the…

While combing through my massive photo inventory, I came across this lovely fella.  He was a stray that wondered up to our home and wouldn’t leave.  Unfortunately, we could not keep him because all of our dogs like to chase cats and years ago, one of my dogs caught one. 😦  So we found him a loving home with a friend that dubbed him “Flaco Taco”.  Meow!

Muladhara Two Or Root Chakra Abstract Art by Omaste WItkowski owFotoGrafik.com

Muladhara or Root Chakra

“Muladhara or root chakra is symbolised by a lotus with four petals and the color red. This center is located at the base of the spine in the coccygeal region. It is said to relate to the gonads and the adrenal medulla, responsible for the fight-or-flight response when survival is under threat.

Muladhara is related to instinct, security, survival and also to basic human potentiality. Physically, Muladhara governs sexuality, mentally it governs stability, emotionally it governs sensuality, and spiritually it governs a sense of security. Muladhara has a relation to the sense of smell.

This chakra is where the three main nadis separate and begin their upward movement. Dormant Kundalini rests here, wrapped three and a half times around the black Svayambhu linga, the lowest of three obstructions to her full rising (also known as knots or granthis). It is the seat of the…

Sahasrara Abstract Chakra Art by Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.com

Flower Of Life

My art today is exploring the 7th Chakra Sahasrara. “Sahasrara, which means 1000 petalled lotus, is generally considered to be the state of pure consciousness, within which there is neither object nor subject. ” ~ wikipedia

I am enjoying learning more about energy and the role that it plays in my life. I am working on my own energy and finding so many fascinating ideas. In the process of examining energy I was inspired to start work on a new series of art relating to the Seven Chakras. Each has a symbol and color associated with them and I am trying to capture the essence of each in my work. I enjoy colorful pieces and so inevitably some colors are not pure they are a blended variety of shades. This picture today was trying to be violet but it became infused with other shades in…

The beach days are almost over here in Florida.  It comes with mixed feelings.  There is the joy of cool crisp air and a chance to be outside on the trails.  But the damp cold of the sea is a bit too much.  I will miss it.  Until I return home…

Anahata Abstract Chakra Art by Omaste Witkowski owFotoGrafik.com

Anahata

“Anahata symbolises love, empathy, selflessness and devotion. The center of force inspires humans to love, be compassionate, altruistic and devoted and to accept divine actions.” Wikipedia

My artwork today is focusing on the Fourth Primary Chakra Anahata. It is fascinating to me the role that energy plays in our lives. The more Quantum Physics research I read the more I become convinced that we are energy and it is all around us. This brings me to Chakras and my understanding that these are energy points (subtle (non-physical) energy channels in our bodies). I am excited to learn more and in the process of learning I will be creating artworks focused on these colors and energies. So much fun to work with color and light and imagination…..

As I am working with my own energy more I am realizing that I have lived with a constant feeling of chaos and…
