Tall pine trees stand as sentinels watching over the river flows gently by. The secrets that these trees have encountered are numerous and salacious I am sure. Or maybe not. The souls that have lingered here for a short time may have been virtuous and unassuming. The leaves and the water tell no tales as they are rooted to the earth and silent indeed.
A tree is a silent reminder that all who live have roots. Deep and hidden and yet essential to life. We do not survive without our roots and they do not survive without us. The leaves that are sprouted from our very core are an outward example that we flourish. Without these reminders it is easy to forget that we are not alone.
