Birch Trees in the WoodsBirch Trees in the Woods

I don’t think its any secret that I love the beauty of nature. I love to experience it, hike in it and look at it. I chose “ Birch Trees in the Woods” from my Landscape Oil Collection. This particular art print is from one of my many hikes last year in the Issaquah area of Washington. Issaquah is now an eastern suburb of Seattle, but started as a town located in the foothills of the mountains far away from the big city of Seattle. It has kept most of its rustic charm and preserved the natural beauty around it with all of the forest-covered foothills. There are an abundance of hiking…

The jet lag is almost gone and I am looking forward to some time at home.  There is a big art show in Houston this week, so here are some artsy photos.  I can’t remember what “Red Box” was in case anyone wants to know.

Pretty Pink Yarrow

I really love shades of pink that appear in these yarrow flowers. They are all existing along a spectrum of beauty and light. As they grow they are constantly changing color. Starting with a pale pink and eventually reaching a vivid shade of fuchsia before slowly fading away……

I’ve always had a special place to go to dream.  For most of my life, it’s been a special tree.  Everywhere I’ve lived, I had to find one.  I would either climb up into it’s branches or swing from a rope/tire.  Now, I just sit under it’s cooling shade and let myself go….

Enlightenment

In the very center of it all is understanding. A breath of fresh air to my inner workings of conflict and chaos. I am realizing a sense of calm and I love the color blue. I enjoy circles and in this particular piece of digital artwork I am feeling peaceful. The contrast of colors and the forming of ideas is exciting to me and I always enjoy looking back on what I have allowed the creation of. My pattern work is somewhat of a mystery to me and when I am in a space to create them I feel that they are almost creating themselves. Colors moving through my hands and heart in order to display their beauty to the world. This partcular image was a revelation and I hope that you enjoy it.
