When I created this piece for my new “Transforming Energy” series there was something about it’s glow that made me feel eternal and full of light.  So I named it “Eternal Light”.  This morning as I set out to write my blog, I did a little Goggling and discovered that there is such a thing. A peak of eternal light (PEL) is a point on a body within the Solar System which is always in sunlight. Such a peak must have high altitude and be on a body with very small axial tilt. The existence of such peaks was first postulated by Beer and Mädler in 1837. The pair said of the lunar polar mountains, “…many of these peaks have (with the exception of eclipses caused by the Earth) eternal sunshine. (taken from Wikipedia.)

So there are places in our solar system that have sunshine constantly…

It’s a tough pill to swallow. You’re chronically ill and life has stopped. Everything is standing still and has been for some time now, and you are faced with perfectly healthy people telling you to ‘keep your chin up’ and ‘be positive’. Positive is the last thing you are feeling. If you had enough energy to waste, a fair few people may well have been punched in the face.

The most annoying thing is, they are right. Positivity is recovery’s best friend. However, I’m not one for the the shiny ‘everyone smile, ignore your issues and act like noting is wrong’ brand of positivity. In fact, I think that is missing the point entirely. Real positivity, that’s felt on a deep and meaningful level, can only be achieved by going through the darkness. Lizard Love An Abstract Reptilian Adventure

I really enjoy creating abstract patterns and then finding shapes to go with them. I created this particular pattern and then found this really cool shape to overlay onto the pattern. Reptiles fascinate me. They are interesting creatures who love warmth and light. My picture today is a single image created from 3 separate images. They can be purchased as a whole or individually. The size is 16×9 or 9×16 depending on whether you are looking for horizontal or vertical. A very colorful way to brighten up any space.
