A Good O.M.E.N…

A Good Omen….. #rotties #rottweilers #dogs

Thanks to the “Omen” movies, Rottweiler dogs get such a bad rap.  How could you not love an adorable face like this?  I absolutely adore their smiles.  I’ve never met a nasty Rottie.  They are a good omen…

Pathway To Zen…

Finding #Zen by Sharon Cummings

The Urban Dictionary describes zen as a total state of focus that incorporates a total togetherness of body and mind. Zen is a way of being. It also is a state of mind. Zen involves dropping illusion and seeing things without distortion created by your own thoughts.

I have been finding myself more and more in a zen like state lately.  The air is salty and the water is cool.  My hands search for the past through shells and rocks dredged from the earth beneath the sea.  As fossils emerge, work fades to the background. Pain and sorrow recedes with each wave.  Joy replaces all emptiness and I become one with all there is.  The path is becoming more clear…

Modern Family…Seeing is Believing!

On #ModernFamily “Never Alone” art by #SharonCummings

sharoncummings's avatarAbstract Art by Sharon Cummings

It’s really cool when a major T.V. network contacts you because they want your art for one of their shows. It’s even cooler when that show is a Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning show like Modern Family! But it doesn’t entirely sink in until your work actually appears on the screen. One of my fans sent me this screenshot last night. Thrilled!

What will you visualize for yourself today?

What will you visualize for yourself today?

Thinking Big Abstract Inspirational Art by Omashte

“Look at things not as they are, but as they will be. Visualization adds value to everything. A big thinker always visualizes what can be done in the future.” ~David Schwartz

I am finding this to be true in my own life. Every action I take has been a visualized thought brought into reality. What I think about it in a day is what I make happen in a day. Sure there are random events and things out of my control and I do factor those in, but for the most part my day will unfold as exactly as I want it to. The more I slow down my thought processes and identify the unconscious urges, the clearer it all becomes. I am feeling depths of calm and wisdom I didn’t know existed. Disagreements are just opportunities for me to choose what I want to believe and then exist within…

Blue Mesa Dillon Pinnacles Art print

A scenic landscape view across the Blue Mesa Reservoir to the Dillion Pinnacles, Gunnison County, Colorado. Geologist believe the the story began about 65 million years ago when the surrounding landscape was slowly uplifted to form the Gunnison uplift and the Sawatch Range.

The origin of the pinnacles began about 30-35 million years ago during a period of considerable volcanic activity. Repeated eruptions built up mountainous piles of debris to form West Elk Mountain and San Juan Mountains to the south. Lava, mud flows and rocks from exploding volcanic cones began to for the breccia that makes up the Dillion Pinnacles,

Beautiful Fall Aspen Forest

Beautiful!

BoulderCountyPhotographer's avatarStriking Photography by Bo

Beautiful Fall Aspen Forest Art Print

Nature’s fall foliage at it’s best, beautiful golden leaf aspen tree  forest landscape  in the colorful autumn season of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.  This was taken in the Independence Pass area at the end of September.

Independence Pass is a high mountain pass in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado. It is at elevation tops out at 12,095 ft on the Continental Divide in the Sawatch Range. The pass is midway between Aspen and Twin Lakes, on the border between Pitkin and Lake counties.

On July 4, 1879, a group from Leadville struck gold in the uppermost Roaring Fork valley below the pass. Four miles to the west, they established a settlement in the upper Roaring Fork Valley that eventually took the name Independence from the holiday on which it was established. The pass, the lake from which the Roaring Fork rises and another nearby mountain all took that name…

Calm Beauty Abstract Inspirational Art by Omashte

I believe this statement from the bottom of my heart. Remaining calm is a gift. Even the most challenging situation can be helped by remaining calm. The ability to think slowly and clearly is the benefit for me. I have the ability to ask myself questions before I respond to difficult circumstances. Many times I am able to find positive outcomes by answering my own questions. This would not be possible for me if I was not able to remain calm.
