I’m an early riser and consider it a blessing to be awake during the most magical time of day, valued by artists and photographers, and appropriately called ‘the blue hour’.
The blue hour happens as a result of science and to garner an understanding of the forces that align to make this magic light appear, it’s best to let Wickipedia explain it:
“The blue hour is the period of twilight each morning and evening when the sun is a significant distance below the horizon and the residual, indirect sunlight takes on a predominantly blue hue. This effect is caused by the relative diffusability of short blue wavelengths of light versus the longer red wavelengths.
During the blue “hour” (typically the period is about 40 minutes in length), red light passes straight into space while blue light is scattered in the atmosphere…

I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. ~Anne Frank

Gender Neutral Ideals Abstract Dimensional ArtI am entering a phase of my life that is more spiritual than I have known before. I am seeing shapes and colors in a more abstract way and I am drawn to light and expression of love and life. Many hours have been spent pondering a particular curve or shade. Which colors work best and how large or small are the shapes I am creating. These are questions I ask as I sit at my desk and create a new piece. Right now my art is a spiritual endeavor that I am really drawn to. I am having visions of other dimensions as I try to express what is in my heart.
In this image I am loving the pink to red and then to purple color journey that starts with blue. I am seeing all of life as the same and everyone…

People ask me regularly for custom work, so I thought I would post a little blog explaining the process. I do accept commissions as pet portraits (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, donkeys, goats, you name it!), but it has to be a piece that I WANT to create first and foremost. After desire, I also need good clear photos to work from. Small grainy cell phone shots just will not work. And I need to see the EYES really well. There should be light and life in them.
Once a clients sends me a handful of clear head shots of their beloved pet, I decide if any of the images will work. If so, then I charge a creative fee to work on the piece. For instance, the one pictured above would cost 40.00 for me to create. I accept PayPal and credit cards…

Wherever you go, go with all your heart. ~Confucius

Red Heart Of Flowers Fantasy DesignsMy heart usually leads me to Art. I love to create and it is usually my first choice when I have free time. Not that I have many hours that I don’t know what to do with 🙂 Life seems to get so busy and yet it is when I stop and count my blessings that I am most happy. Slow down the busy feeling and soak in the warmth and beauty of life itself. All of the colorful happenings and vivid experiences.
Red is a favorite color of mine and I really enjoyed the intensity of this background and the way that the digital paint seemed to explode onto the screen 🙂

Red Seahorse Fantasy Designs Abstract Holiday ArtI am starting a new gallery of red artwork based on the Root Chakra energy. Up until now I have worked mostly with mixed color art pieces. I love the contrast of various colors and the way that they can either complement or contrast and the various feelings that it can evoke. But now that I have learned more about energy and how it relates to color I am intrigued by the idea of working with some solid colors and seeing what I come up with. Well maybe not totally solid 🙂 There are little “winks” of color scattered throughout this pattern to add depth and dimension to the overall composition.
